One of our earliest bloomers. This deciduous species grows from tiny underground bulbs, often putting up new leaves in winter, and flower stalks in February. Prefers partial shade and non-saturated soils.

o                 Direct sowing:  Best sown in fall. Seeds are dormant and need exposure to 6 weeks of winter temperatures before germinating in spring.
