  1. Strikingly tall and gorgeous. This larkspur thrives in moist shady areas. Usually found in masses along  seasonally wet forests.

Height: 36"-48"

Width: 18"-24"

Moisture: wet to moist

Sun: Full sun to part shade

Bloom time: April-May

Direct sowing: Fall sowing is recommended as this species usually has a fair amount of seed dormancy. Seeds usually need 90 days of cold moist chilling before seeds will germinate in spring.

Growing transplants: Sow seeds in containers and place outside or in a cold frame. Seeds germinate at a higher percent when exposed to natural stratification rather than at a constant temp in a refridgerator.
